How do I begin to write about this amazing experience. Just being in the presence of Stephanie and Dave, you can feel the love all around. Stephanie has been a dear friend of mine for more years than either of us will mention, let's just say, more than half of our lives. So, when she asked me to capture her special day, I was beside myself. Her support and love for my art has been a staple in my life and I would not trade this opportunity for anything! The wedding day began with a trip to the salon, the bride's house, and then off to the venue... We arrived to find the groom just pulling in with a giant smile on his face. We quickly set up our equipment and split up to join the bride and groom during their preparations. The day flowed with ease and beauty, just as Stephanie had perfectly planned it. Every detail shined with personal touches and class. It was a wedding day that dreams are made of. Each moment went more perfectly than the one before, and by the end of the day we felt like we were living in a movie. We are so blessed to have been a part of this amazing event and we wish Stephanie and Dave every happiness for a fairytale life filled with "Seasons of Love"...

So, my best friend/"sister", dancer, singer, choreographer, teacher, actress extrodinaire is getting married! You have already seen her stunning engagement session we did in DC, and this past weekend I had the fun opportunity to attend her lovely bridal shower, thrown by her sweet and loving bridesmaids. Everything was "show" themed and dressed up in her wedding colors! Here are just a few sweet moments from a beautiful planned and executed day which was a "showstopping" event!

When I first heard from Haley last year, I was super excited at the idea of booking a wedding 2 years away. I loved that her and her fiancee were as excited about my photography as I was and that they wanted to be a part of the growing family of JMPhotography! Over the past year, we waited in gentle anticipation for James to go on leave from his current military assignment. This past weekend, we were all in the same state and ready to meet up for this fantastic session celebrating their love and including their two adorable doggies, one of whom will be the ring bearer in next year's wedding! We had a great meeting to start talking about the big day and then went for a little walk to capture some special moments and a lot of love! I cannot wait to spend that special day next June with this beautiful couple!

On the way home from dinner tonight to celebrate our little lady graduating kindergarten, we drove by what promised to be a pretty sunset. We grabbed the camera and headed up the hill to race the sun. It was hot and buggy, but we got some cute ones. It's been a while since my girl and I just went out and shot around. We had a blast trying some new things, and I cannot believe how much she has grown! Time flies when you're having fun...don't blink!

It is always exciting to meet a new client. Therefore, it is even more wonderful to meet 2, like during an engagement session with a new wedding couple. Yesterday, I got to do something extra special! I met 3 new clients in a fantastic combination Newborn/Engagement session! Baby Mollie was such a delight to work with. She was the first baby in my basket who shed no tears and pretty much let me put her wherever I wanted! Mom and Dad were great too, being very patient with the artistic process in the near 90 degree temperatures. I am already one of Mollie's biggest fans, and I cannot wait to capture her again when she helps Mom and Dad walk down the aisle in December! Congratulations to this sweet little family; I cannot wait for our next moments!
