We were so incredibly honored when we received the call that our dear friend, client, and young lady we have watched grow since she was 5 was getting married!  Sydney waltzed into my life as an adorable 5 year old when I was still a teenager.  I watched her grow over the years and as an adult, enjoyed family get togethers, and portraits along the way!  It seems like yesterday, we were taking senior portraits by the lake and wondering what life would bring for this beautiful young woman!  Enter, Ahmed... Through college and becoming adults, these two have a love story for the ages.  We watched as they would pop up on social media, being adorable and wondered if a day like this might be in the future.  Sure enough as all great love stories do, this one included a proposal!  We were delighted and excited to be chosen to capture this stunning couple on a truly amazing day!  We started our journey at the mother of the bride's childhood home.  This beautiful historic townhome in downtown DC was the perfect place to begin the fairytale day!  We arrived to find smiles and laughter throughout the house as the couple and their friends prepared for the big day.  After transforming Sydney into what can only be described as a princess (and Ahmed cleans up nice too :-), we were off to the Jefferson Memorial along the beautiful Tidal Basin for a dream wedding ceremony!  Despite a little bit of construction, we could not have asked for a more perfect and beautiful location for the ceremony nestled right inside the memorial!  After a whirlwind of beautiful vows, a tearful first dance and one very romantic first kiss, we stepped out for some portraits under the trees.  We could not have asked for a more perfect day, a sweeter couple or a more appreciative group of family and friends.  We were truly beside ourselves with gratitude to be a part of this special day!  We would like to wish Sydney and Ahmed all the happiness in the world and we cannot wait to capture their reception and celebration in December!
