When Cassy and I first spoke about her wedding over a year ago, I had no idea what a special and wonderful day this was going to be. Jake and Cassy have so much love for eachother and for their daughter Lyla. Just being near them you could feel the special bond that this beautiful little family created. I was so honored to be asked to capture this stunning wedding. Cassy paid attention to every detail and had an absolutely magical day laid out. From the flowers, to the dresses, to the DJ, everything went off without a hitch...that is except for Cassy and Jake, who got hitched (couldn't resist).
We started the day with Cassy and the girls getting ready, then had a little fun watching all the groomsmen try to light their cigars. The day was filled with perfect moments from Lyla helping with Mommy's makeup to me nearly getting taken out as the best man went sliding across the floor in a very "stealing home" kind of arrival for the garter toss! Everyone had something kind to say and a smile to share as we celebrated the love of this very special couple.
My lovely assistant and I were in awe of the beauty of the day, so much so that he shot as many frames as I did! We loved shooting this fairytale day and wish the bride and groom many years of happily ever after!

Sunday was a day filled with love, joy, and just enough sunshine! I was invited by a coworker to capture her new baby's church dedication. We arrived a little early for some outdoor "baby in the basket" shots and then headed into the church where everyone from the Pastor to each member of the congregation was truly welcoming! We heard a beautiful message and watched as baby Donovan was welcomed into his church family at Rockville Church of God. It was a beautiful day and he was surround by so much sweet and loving family! I was honored to be a part of this very special day!

What do you get when you put 4 little girls in matching dresses, add one adorable baby boy, two sets of sweet parents, and one beaming grandma? Look no further! The answer is below!!!
So much cuteness was abound for this family session on Sunday! The girls were ready to be little models, baby was ready to pose and smile and everyone did a great job amidst the bright sun and warm temperatures.
We arrived at Baker Park just as the sun started to sink. The setting was beautiful and though we had to dodge a few park-goers, it was a great day! After rescheduling our earlier date due to weather, we were pleasantly surprised by the stunning weather for our new date. I hope you enjoy viewing these photos as much as I loved taking them!

Tuesday was a beautiful day, and Big Pipe Creek Park in Taneytown, MD was a beautiful setting for Cassy and Jake's family engagement session. Cassy contacted me last Summer about her upcoming wedding after seeing my work on a friend's facebook page. We have emailed back and forth for almost a year now and finally got to meet face to face. She is just the sweetest person and is going to make a stunning bride in a little over a month.
We had talked a little back and forth about whether or not to try and do an engagement session and about baby photography. I suggested we turn the engagement session into a family engagement session! We had tons of fun trying to keep the star of the show entertained. I was happy for the chance to meet her, and her delightful parents at their wedding venue before the big day.
Big Pipe Creek Park is a lovely setting, and I had so much fun walking around and brainstorming for the wedding day. I know it will be a day filled with love, happiness, and with any luck a little sunshine!

It was an absolute honor to be asked back to do this little guys 2 year photos and this time Mom and Dad joined in too! I have known Patrick's mama since we were not too many years older than he is now! It was so nice to catch up with an old friend and see how much this adorable little man has grown since last year. He had a blast playing on the playground and running around. He is such a gentleman, even taking my hand to lead me over to the water! I cannot wait for many more sessions as we watch this little guy grow!
